Set during the dawn of the Space Shuttle era, my memoir Gone with the Solar Wind offers a rare inside view of the making of a physicist while telling a universal story about perseverance and finding the confidence to pursue an unlikely dream. About Mona Kessel

Mona Kessel is a space physicist whose career has focused on understanding the interactions between the Sun and Earth. Over several decades she has contributed to NASA programs and scientific research while witnessing—and helping shape—a period of tremendous change for women in science.

She enjoys speaking with readers, students, libraries, universities, and organizations about science, careers, and the experiences that inspired Gone with the Solar Wind.
